More About Jody

 

 

Jody carries her passion into community involvement. In August of 2009, she was elected to the Board of the Monmouth County Arts Council. The board, headquartered in Red Bank, promotes the arts in Monmouth County and throughout New Jersey. She was also elected to the Eastern Monmouth Chamber of Commerce in 2010 and the Brookdale Foundation Board of Trustees in 2010, which raises scholarships for students and promotes student support and activities.

 

Rated as one of the top speakers at the American Press Institute, Jody has also written or supervised journalism projects winning prestigious national awards including The Polk, The Loeb, The Mollenhoff, The Batten, The National Press Club, Selden Ring, and the Investigative Reporters and Editors and Scripps Howard.

She also has edited multiple books, and internal assessments.

 

Jody developed the prototype for the Associated Press Managing Editors' News Train initiative that to date has trained more than 4,000 editors nation wide. She also ran the APME National Credibility Roundtable Program that traveled around the country forcing news organizations and readers/consumers to discuss fairness and accuracy of coverage.
